The wind howled through the curtains. Glass broken. A bitter cold entered, ending the summer’s warmth.
Trembling, I crouched behind grandfather’s clock, as it echoed gloom through the hallways into the kitchen.
“Crassshhhh”
How did those plates fall? Is that what I saw at the barn with Victor?
It went silent. And she playfully sung “I will find you, my sweet” as she neared my sister’s room. She was asleep.
The chandelier lights went dark. There was a scream.
As I scrambled, she appeared from Dana’s room and pierced my gaze. Evil.
She cackled and flew away.
“Oh no, Dana!”
