conscious writing poetry galaxy world building

I first just wrote down what I was thinking.

I was going through a lonely time and I had nothing but my thoughts to keep me occupied. I’ve always felt there is a swirling galaxy in my head that brings out these questions and inquisitions for why the world must be how it is. And in doing so, I conjure up these fantastical, ethereal worlds. Where anything goes, anything can happen. A different realm that I escape to? Maybe, yeah. So I decided to start writing about them. Sounds fun, right?

Words became worlds in the form of poems.

At first, it was just conscious writing. Letting my pen flow and writing whatever came out. I wrote without fear and it felt good! Sometimes it took a while to really understand what I was writing, and I had to sit with it before it made sense. Other times, it just flowed and the words, and the storytelling, and the visuals I tried to create just came together. This was more than fun - it was totally absorbing! Seeing it all crystallise on paper. A little bit ‘woah’ and a little bit ‘oh cool’. and maybe a bit of ‘oh, shit’.

This is the start of my journey.

So this is now turning into my creative project. I’d love to connect with people, find new communities, and have them read and reflect on my work. I’d love to meet similar thinkers, conscious writers, even new friends, and we can learn new things from each other and maybe even write for a common goal or cause! And most importantly I just want to have the space where I am free to create cool pieces that journey into wonder!
