100-word stories
To thrill and intrigue
Creating these 100-word stories has been nothing short of fun! When I was doing my research, the key thing I realised is that not one single word should be wasted. As a writer, that’s actually quite difficult but it’s a real good challenge.
It’s all about picking the right words and allowing them to suggest far more than they actually say. And it’s also about writing just enough to convey a story that connects with the imagination while allowing the reader to infer further layers of meaning hidden within.
Writing these stories allowed me to trust myself as a writer and to give you a real concise (and eloquent) snapshot in time, in adventure, in life, in emotion and maybe even throw in a subtle twist that gets you thinking.
