Wild and free

We are mere spectators. Powerless. As mother nature channels her beauty through all that we see.

The vast landscape of the mara is a reminder.

Of an untamed essence that roams free with the earth.

An unconquerable spirit. A unquestionable faith. An unapologetic God.

That holds knowledge older than we can imagine.

One that is seen in the subtle winds that blow through the trees as the giraffe graze.

One that is carried by the current of the rivers that nourish the heartlands and feed the mara.

One that breathes fire into the massai as they farm their land.

And one that is seen in the dramatic ballet performance between predator and prey. An eerie enchantment.

But let us connect to this unseen yet effervescent presence.

Let us break free from our false chains.

Caged by platitudes that darken our senses. Focused on tiny boxes that broadcast and broadcast and broadcast.

Stuck in our own storyboards that bind us so.

Let us break break free. And tread the lush grass with our bare feet and embrace the vastness and humility of the mara.

Wild and free is a state of mind. A mysticism that is born to us, to merge with the winds, and the beasts, and the land.

Not a hashtag that gives us visions of grandeur from the comfort of our home.

Let us be children once again. To mother nature. And hold her hand as she leads us up and over the canyons, down into the valleys where the Hyenas lay. And up again to share the skies with the Eagles. And to experience the spaces in between. The sunrises. The darkness. The wild silences.

To open our eyes wide to our true reality. A co-existence.

Where we feel the very land we live on. We are the very land we live on. We share every heartbeat and connect through every touch . And we flow and we fly.

And we are at peace in the wild.

We are free.
